A member of my church knitting group and I decided to do some charity knitting during Lent, and these are the results: 3 pairs of socks and 3 pairs of mittens.
They should be arriving at A4A HQ later this week.
Let's work together on our projects for afghans for Afghans.
It's a knit-along; it's a crochet-along!

Those look great!!
Lovely! and everybody remember -- A4A is continuing to collect small things -- socks and mittens are most desired, but the occasional hat also OK -- throughout the summer. That way, when the opportunity arises to get a box or two over there, things are on hand and ready to go. And socks and mittens are great summer knitting --they are portable, and they don't sit on your lap and make you too hot.
Thanks! I agree w/r/t socks and mittens being great summer knitting. I like to keep projects small when the weather is warm.
They do look great -- cheery colors and lively stripes on classic patterns. Thanks to all!
We'd love to have as many wool socks, mittens, and hats (ages 7 to adult) that you can send us this summer. We can pack a lot of these items in a single carton. Likely for those living in displaced persons camps with little to no material goods. The camps are tragically huge.
Please tell your fiber friends. Always helpful to involve more people to keep the project going.
