hats

I have made a few of these: http://sasw.blogspot.com/2006/03/infant-earflap-hat.html and love the simplicity of the pattern. I can make one in a couple nights of Netflix/Hulu watching. I am currently working on this one: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dread-snowboarding-hats with a few simplifications. I am using some Plymouth Select Merino that i dyed with food colours. I will make the dreads with a single crochet chain so it is not so bulky. I made one for my grandson and he still asks to wear it... even tho it it 90+ degrees (34C) outside.
