I've stopped making the baby blankets for a short time, to make socks and mittens for the youth campaign. As soon as I finish the last sock, I anxious to get back to the baby blankets. I have a lot to do before a mid-November deadline.
Let's work together on our projects for afghans for Afghans.
It's a knit-along; it's a crochet-along!

Hi Rose,
What a great gaggle of gorgeous goodies.
Is the pattern available for the white garter stitch mittens?
Reed
Yes Reed, the pattern is from Knitting Nonni's Patterns website: nonnidesigns.blogspot.com. The pattern is the "Original Sideways Mitten" in 2 sizes. They knit up very quickly, I can do one mitten in an evening. I knit the child size in bulky yarn with size 10 1/2 needles. It makes a very generous size mitten, although I might extend the cuff longer next time.
Thank you. I've been working on my first pair of socks on double points and I need something to go fast and easy as a break.
