Textile Museum, Washington, DC Feb. 26, 2011

Dear Friends,

Ann said she wanted photos!! Here are 4 from our get together. It was wonderful to meet and get to know other knitters for the cause. The ikat exhibit was also extraordinary. Hopefully others will post their photos.

Hey -- if you're in those pictures, please say so. I thought I'd remember names, but no. I know better, but I was distracted by having too good a time with everybody. It was a smallish but very rewarding gathering.

Top picture: That's Ann on the left in the beautiful Afghan coat; next to her, in the blue sweatshirt with red cuffs showing and a blinding name tag, that's me.

Second frame: Ann (with my knitting bag elegantly sneaking into the picture at the bottom -- oops) and Tom, our wonderful host at the museum.

Others? Step up and say who you are, and where and in which photo.

And I heartily recommend the Textile Museum next time you're in Washington. It was smaller than I had expected, but the exhibits were superb and dangerously inspiring. It's a very short walk from Dupont Circle.

The Textile Museum IS a wonderful, and under the radar, museum that I always try to visit when I am in DC. Wish I could have been there.

Dear Linda, I got back to SF on Wed. and haven't had a spare moment to write until now. Thank you for making the journey by train to join us. That took a lot of effort and meant a lot to me and all who gathered. I am so glad we had a chance to meet. Loved the knit sweater you were wearing, and you wore it so well! I hope you are in my photos once I get them downloaded and posted. Any chance I can persuade you to delete that 3rd photo? I am very tempted to use the master controls ... :-)

Ann,your wish is my command! Third picture deleted. It was an uplifting experience for me to meet everyone there. The day was a long one, but worth it. I'm putting together the sweater I was working on and have a bulky weight pullover partly finished. I'm hoping to have at least one more sweater completed by the deadline. All best wishes.
