Sue, if you had time to make another blanket and get it in the mail in time to arrive by November 23 (2 weeks from today! Ack!) I would be frightened! Mine still looks like the same pile of blue squares I posted a couple of weeks ago -- will start seaming tonight.

Sue,
Remember way back when you were helping me with that cable X stitch baby blanket when I tried another intermediate pattern? I put it aside to make the sweater, but I did get the pattern right thanks to help from you and Pearl. I went back to it after I mailed the sweater, and I am almost finished with it. I will post a picture soon!

I finished that baby blanket that is made from the leftover squares of the Youth campaign. All blocked and ready to ship...

I finished my first afghan for Afghans and my first afghan ever. So, I'm a beginner and have learned somethings such as the washing machine can change the dimensions. Yesterday it changed from 40x35 (or so) to 60x30. What to do??

I saw a photo. I think Lynette could remove the border and then rip back 20 or so inches.

I took the blanket to my yarn shop for some assessment where they were quite kind and said that the blanket will never be wide enough now for the CURE blanket dimensions and that perhaps I should start again. To rescue this project for its intended purpose as a gift for someone in need, they suggested folding it in half, stitching around the edge, and giving it to a local program that provides comfort blankets for kids undergoing chemotherapy treatments. The re-purposing has turned out to have its own issues, but I will persevere! P.S. I've submitted a request to be able to post on the blog. Many thanks!!
