Christine, the new girl on the block

Hello! I'm Christine and I'm new to this site.

I'm in Gaithersburg, Maryland, which is a suburb of Washington DC. I'm a stay at home mom with 2 and 3 year old boys. I picked up knitting again over the winter after a 10 year break, but I've never had the confidence or skill to do a whole sweater by myself. Hopefully you ladies will inspire me to change that!

I am new to A4A, and have just started my second vest. Hopefully I will have a couple vests done for the May deadline.

Thanks for introducing yourself and welcome. Keep in touch as progress reports are always welcome and help to spur us on. Don't hesitate to ask questions either as there is almost always someone who has information and/or suggestions.

You go, girl! A sweater is just a vest with sleeves. You can do it. Welcome--and looking forward to seeing photos or hearing updates.

Welcome Chirstine! A4A campaigns are a great place to try out techniques because you don't have to worry about size or finicky American fashion habits. My knitting has really improved as I've participated. For a first sweater you might try the Warm Woolies cardigan (in the largest size for this campaign) as it's modular construction is easy.
