baby blanket of leftovers...

Here is the blanket that I made from the leftover squares of the youth blanket. It looks a lot the same, just has wider borders around each square and the whole blanket in order to fill it out to a 40x40 size. That is the end of that yarn!

I think it's as beautiful as the youth blanket CTI. Nice work.

Lucky baby. I can imagine a little one wrapped snugly in this beautiful warm blanket.

A question was asked about the pattern... it was based on a square in this pamphlet, but altered in terms of color choices and with additional rounds to extend the size.

The basic idea is that you work a square for 4 rows (dc), then turn it on the diagonal by working sc triangles along all 4 sides. Then you go back to making a square around that...

I recognize that pamphlet - in fact, I used that same pattern a couple of years ago for an adult-sized afghan for a4A!
