Sue? Pearl? Cti? What do you think?

Ok here's a small shot of the blanket I've been working on.
I measured it and it's 32" X 38".
I think the minimum size is 30" X 40".
Should I try to add to the border?
If so, what's the best way?
The current border is sc skip two sc 5 dc in next sc repeat.
Thanks!
Shirley

Sue's suggestions are right on. Another alternative might be to add shell rows. Join with sl st and *sc in the center dc of any shell group, work a shell in the next sc, and repeat all the way around, allowing extra to turn the corners (probably work a shell, sc, shell in the corner). You could keep adding shell rows until you got the size you wanted.

another idea if you add shell rows would be to alternate colors on each row -- it would show off the waviness of the pattern... I think you would want to add at least 2 more rows to get to 40".
